The Parlotones

This evening I experienced some of South Africa's best musical talent. I went to the Parlotones Concert which was incredibly amazing with performances from 'The Ice Project' and 'The Black Hotels'.

All I can say is that I am proud to be part of our rainbow nation!

The video below is of their song 'Life Design'.

Piggy Bank

This cute little piggy bank is what my mom received for Christmas which I think is tooo LEGIT :)

Spoilt much!

These ravishing gifts are what I received from Santa ;) Personally I don't think I will ever grow up and I will always be ecstatic about receiving wrapped up surprises :D

Thank you everybody for making it such an incredible day!

PHOTOSHOP

For Christmas I received PHOTOSHOP which I am ecstatic about! That would be the reason for my having such delayed post due to the fact that I had to teach myself which got rather confusing :| None the less I now have it down to a fine art...kinda :) The photo above is my first complete edit :)

Sweet Sixteen

Today is my cousin's birthday and she is out from the UK which is very exciting! The blue cake above is what I made with the help of my mum teaching me how to use fondant for the first time :)

Thy Brother Bears Prezzie

The above images were placed in the jar below as my brothers Christmas present. It is a conglomeration of useless items which is very appropriate for my brother as he has a tendency of collecting rubbish :)

Floating spheres

I know this is very strange but my brother and I always played with bubbles when we were younger and this holiday we got right back down to our roots!

The Majestic Mountains

So now that the troopers (my family) have all arrived to the coolest place on earth :D we are all making our way to the Berg today in order to have a fantastic family holiday! We also seem to share a common passion for food so in that case, let the eating begin!

Kersfees (Translated means Christmas)

This fantastical bag was given to me and made by my friend with my prezzie in it :D I was way to spoilt and thi bag is very sexy :P

Sue Tarr's Summer house

A few weekends ago, my mom and I went to Sue Tarr's Summer house in Howick in order to fetch our Christmas Tree :D (like the one above)

Sue has such incredible range of exquisite products for christmas prezzies as well as 'vintage' ribbon which is too-die-for!

There is also a little cafe incorporated which serves delicious breakfast!!                                                   (and the lunch and cakes must be good too although we didn't try that out)

COP17

As you know South Africa has been really lucky as it hosted the Cop17 conference in my beautiful city... Durban!

Below are some of the pictures I took of our beach front which had been done up for the conference.

The wooden tree above is powered by members of the public cycling in bicycles which activate fairy lights in different parts of the tree! A really clever, innovative idea :D

These wind chimes are actually a petition that was created by a South African man. It is for the use of wind power and you sign your name on one of the wind chimes. It makes a stunning sound in the wind as well!
All the pictures below were taken in a marque that was put up to promote 'going green'.

The tree above and leaf below were part of a promise tree! My promise is below although it is more like telling the reader what to do than what I promise to do :|

These two posters had an excellent message place amoung each onr and gave me goosebumps!
The picture below is a painting that was done by someone who was expressing their views on global warming.

This photo below is also another artists take on global warming.

Besides the fact that we had a really good conference here ( I think ), it also felt really cool that you knew famous people were in our city :P

The Skate Store

On 11 December I went to The Skate Store's first birthday which was a day full of fun, sun and skateboarding!

There was a skate competition where the locals who pretty much live at the park entered in order to win prizes. It was free entrance to encourage everyone to participate.

The little boy below is only 3 years old and they made a special category just for him!

These photo's show us how much hidden talent that lies within our stunning city!

Sorry

I am so incredibly sorry, I was busy uploading photo's until I stupidly closed my internet :| unfortunately I am about to pass out so I will post tomorrow :D
