Well done Chad!

Well done to Chad Le for winning South Africa a gold medal. I would just like to claim that he went to my brother school :) and well done to Cameron too!

The Olympics is incredibly addictive to watch and I have definitely spotted some eye candy. Ryan Lochte from the USA swimming team ...mmmmMmmMmm!

Olympics 2012

The Olympics begin tonight and I am really excited to see the opening ceremony and to see what the British have prepared for the rest of the world. Good luck to all the athletes, make South Africa proud! :D

Wimbledon finals

Today my family decided that we were going to celebrate the men's final match of Wimbledon from the comfort of our home.

We set up a table with our tea set and had warm scones with strawberry jam and cheese, strawberries, tea and champagne. It was truly scrumptious!

We had half a carrot cake today (not just my family) and I am proud to say that it actually tasted really good :D

First attempt of a Carrot Cake

After 5 hours of working in the kitchen today, I have officially completed my first carrot cake! From the testers during the process it tastes delish!

The icing is a cream cheese icing with orange and lemon rind! So incredibly delicious!

Today I went with my mom to do a few chores and the we had a splendid lunch at Tasha's which is at Gateway!

It was truly stunning with the sun squeezing through the naked gaps of the restaurant.

I heart ...

This weekend is the next market! I won't be attending as I will be at a 21st :) There is also the house and garden show at the Durban exhibition centre. It is filled with yummy food and beautiful stands from iKhaya and many other stores. From beautiful picture frames, scrabble pieces, bags, clocks, wall art and the best Chinese food I have ever had from the food court at the show! R50 for noodles/rice and sweet and sour chicken/pork. mMmMmM...

The house and garden

Today I attended The House and Garden show where I looked at some really stunning displays and bought these two little goodies! The one item is an old fashioned enamel mug and the other is a string holder and scissors which I will be using for my party later in August.
