Whats up 2014

Well hello Mr 2014!

I have tingles in my toes that its going to be fantastical year and I hope you have the same feeling to!

No thurst like Bathurst..

During this week we mad a visit to Bathurst (a small ' dorpie' (town) in the Eastern Cape of SA).

My entire family went to look at the curio shops and the a few days later all the kids attended Ox Braai (photo above) which is an overnight music festival.

Bathurst is also home the the largest (man-made) pineapple. (above)

Washi tape, twine, paper bags and stamps :)

This year I made small little presents for everyone that I went to college with and decorated each of their bags individually, using washi tape, bakers twine, paper bags and swing tags.

It was so much fun to get creative after all my exams :D

A cuppa' tea?

Today I had a tea party at my house for 2 friends from college. It was so lovely to just sit and talk rubbish and eat delicious food while the rain trickled down.

Making macaroons {1st attempt}

I recently decided to make macaroons after buying my first macaroon recipe book about 2 years ago. My first attempt wasnt perfect but they still tasted yummy !

Zoeys 1st Birthday

A family friend's daughter just turned one and had the cutest little party! I shovelled down so many chocolate-dipped marshmellows, it's not even funny!

Meandering in the Midlands

Yesterday we went to stay for two nights on the Midlands Meander, where we went to beautiful shops and had a lovely afttenoon having cheese and wine!
